Robert “Bob” Casselberry passed away on March 28th, 2023.
His stout dedication and love for the sport of paintball for much of his life was only exceeded by his genuine and caring nature towards his fellow human. For decades he was a friend, brother, and husband that gave compassion and care to all of those he encountered. Bob spent many years as one of the sport of paintballs premiere expert technicians for WDP/Angel paintball markers. Thousands of paintball players had the honor of Bob working on their markers, and through that connection, forged lifelong friendships with the kind soul that was Bob. His knack for repairing and diagnosing electronics, pneumatics, and mechanical components was lauded around the industry and his knowledge will be sorely missed. He was known around the Angel Owners Group and retro paintball community for his abilities, and even more so known for the impact he could have on others through his unique way of communicating and story telling. Bob is worth remembering and archiving here on this site because of the enthusiasm he displayed and lived through in growing the sport of paintball among the games youth and overlooked individuals. He worked hard to keep the paintball scene alive at Great Lakes Paintball and succeeded in sparking a love and passion for the game in many players. A loving husband, devout family man, and wholehearted friend to all, Bob will be greatly missed by many, especially so in the paintball community. May you rest in peace and may you never be forgotten. Thank you so much for all you did Bob.

Bob was one of my childhood friends. Predator used to be his obsession and focus for many years and its how we crossed paths. After years of asking, he convinced me to start playing paintball. He built me some of the best paintball equipment I've ever seen on a field. Even in a large scale game, I was pinned down with one other player and he had time to notice the tactical angel he put together for me. The stories I could give about this guy are never ending but one comes to mind now.

Bob was a great help to me. I originally met him after purchasing a Miami rage a1 that wasn’t working. I sent it to the “other” tech and it was a crap show. When I finally got it back and it still didn’t work Bob offered to fix it. I don’t think he even charged me. He said he felt bad that I had gotten taken advantage of. It worked great and that started a years long friendship. He would go on to fix many markers for me. And we would have conversations about all kinds of stuff. We would play together at Great Lakes as well.
