Ryan Greenspan, San Diego Dynasty
Ryan Greenspan is the best player in the history of the game; he has nearly 70 event wins, more than a dozen Season Titles, and 20 years of excellence in the pro paintball division. The 2021 NXL Season was no exception to this; he was dominate for Dynasty and was critical in both of the event wins, as well as the Season Title they earned.
Ryan typically is tasked with the job of holding the rear guard for Dynasty, while also attacking through gaps in the opponents defense to close out games. He was one of the most effective and versatile players of the 2021 season and he showcased his incredibly high IQ throughout the season. As Ryan has aged, his game has become increasingly refined; his intricate situational knowledge and near perfect timing has made him one of the most poise players in the league, often asked to come up clutch in dire situations. When the moment calls, and a big move needs to be made, Ryan can often be seen streaking down the field and closing out the game.
He is the Captain of the Dynasty ship that has sailed to the golden shores of paintball excellence; he is who Dynasty looks to lead them through the good and the bad, and he has done this job notably well. He plays nearly every spot on the field and his versatility and experience are a major reason Dynasty was so dominant this season.
Signature Moment of the 2021 NXL Season: With the Season Title on the line and a trip to the NXL World Cup Finals within reach, Dynasty entered into the semi-finals looking to show Infamous who the best team in the world is. The relentless charge from Infamous needed to be silenced, and Ryan was tasked with creating pressure through the center of the field and shutting down the top offense in paintball. Ryan counterpunched all game long through waves of Infamous attackers and led his team to their historic 19th professional Season Title.
