NOMINEES FOR Editor's choice Product of the Year
Hormesis Headbands
Since their inception just a year ago, Hormesis headbands have exploded onto the paintball scene at every level. From top level pro tournament players, to recreational players, and scenario game fans, this organically created headwear company is used by players in nearly every part of the world. Created by legendary paintball players Oliver Lang and Alex Fraige, they focus on limited release products, artistic design, and capturing meaningful stories to create some of the best headwear products paintball has ever seen. The quality and care put into each piece of gear is evident from the high-end packaging, to the hand signed photos of Oliver and Alex that come in every box, and it has made this product one of our favorites of the year.
Infamous Silencio Barrels
Travis Lemanski and the rest of the Infamous team have been slowly building one of the best paintball companies in the World behind their well built products and customer care. Their focus to refine and improve on products like triggers, protective wear, clothing, and barrels has produced some of the best products of the season. Specifically, their Silencio line of barrels and barrel tips have been very well received. The aggressive porting, large array of color options, and famous skull engraving are only the start; these barrels are well built and they are consistently and accurately sized to provide a noticeable improvement over stock barrels.
PaintballDNA Pocket Stand
When it comes to 3D printed paintball products, there is no on better in the paintball industry than Ben Silverstein and the rest of the PaintballDNA team. He uses an approach founded in creative problem solving to design and build products with tons of utility for the everyday player. Their 50 round hoppers, Insert cases, and classic gunstands have been gaining popularity across the country over the last few years. However, maybe their best product is the PocketStand, a small, quick to assemble marker stand that can fit in the pocket of your gear-bag. Players no longer have to lug around large homemade PVC stands, or set their valuable markers down on rough surfaces, and it has been something we have loved since its release.
HK Army SLR Mask
After years of development, HK Army release their newest mask and it came with rave reviews. Taking feedback from some of the best pro players in the World, they created a comfortable and easy to breathe in mask with a lightning fast lens change system and a memory foam interior. The SLR mask has quickly become our favorite mask on the market and simple features like the magnetic chinstrap show the level of thought they put into the design of this product.
Bunkerkings Fly Series Gear
Throughout the years of paintball, pads had always been bulky, slide around, and generally uncomfortable. But, the Bunkerkings Fly gear has been a revelation in protective padding used for paintball. The low profile design, lightweight but strong material, and honeycomb style guards are barely noticeable as you play in them. They are also one of the first padding system we have used that don't suffer from sliding down your shins or past your elbows when you dive. These pads simply do their job very well; they protect you without slowing you down or getting in the way.
