One of the most critical events of the Major League of Paintball season has concluded, and the results could have massive implications on the season championship race heading into the Champions Cup. Going into the event, San Diego Dynasty boasted a massive lead in the Pro standings behind their two event wins to open the season.

The 2022 NXL Paintball season has come to a close, and it may have been the best year of paintball in the NXL’s history. Hopeful players descended on Florida in the midst of Hurricane Nicole, with dreams of winning the biggest prize in the sport, a World Cup victory. With a collective six figure prize purse on the line, and the highest team count ever, the pressure was on.

World Cup; two words that carry a heavy weight in the world of competitive paintball. Since 1989, the Paintball World Cup has been the premiere professional paintball tournament that every player dreams of winning. Under the NXL it has become one of the largest single outdoor sports tournaments in history; nearly 500 competitive teams and 5000 players all competing for a coveted World Cup title.

The final event of the National Xball League season is less than one week away, and after a hard fought season, the season title race is closer than ever. The Windy City Major was an exciting and dramatic event that drastically altered the Power Rankings for World Cup after the cinderella runs of LVL, NRG, and Uprising, as well as the complete dominance of Dynasty. Also at stake are the professional paintball lives of teams such as ac Dallas, the MLKings, and Sacramento DMG.
